Our next focus group takes place at the offices of excellent Welsh social enterprise Cae Post in Welshpool on Monday 6th February.
As the collective voice for social enterprises in Wales, the Welsh Social Enterprise Coalition is holding a series of focus groups across the country as we seek to listen and understand the views of social enterprises leaders on the issues that affect the sector.
The next focus group takes place at Cae Post, Resource and Recovery Centre, Criggion Lane, Trewarn, Welshpool, SY21 8EE on Monday 6th February from 12pm. Refreshments will be provided.
Our focus groups give Welsh social enterprises the opportunity to influence policy makers and helps us build the evidence we need to lobby the Welsh Government, local authorities, the private sector and others on your behalf. Join us for an honest and open discussion on a wide range of issues including:
- What are the main barriers to the growth of your social enterprise?
- How can the awarding of contracts be made simpler and more accessible to social enterprises?
- What has been your experience of business support? What works well, what doesn't and how can it be better tailored to the needs of social enterprises?
- Would you benefit from a business coach who has been there and done it as a social entrepreneur?
- Is there a lack of awareness about social enterprise in the business world and in local authorities and what impact is this having?
- Are you optimistic about the future development of your business?
- Are you finding it difficult to access finance? Do you know where to look for new investment opportunities?
The information we collate will form the basis of a report we will produce and circulate, that we hope will contribute towards creating the enabling environment Welsh social enterprises need to grow and flourish.
So come along to our Welshpool focus group and make sure your views are heard.
