Trustees wanted at Penrhys Partnership

The Penrhys Partnership, a voluntary organisation set up in 1991 to improve the social, economic and environmental prospects of the village of Penrhys and the surrounding area in the Rhondda, is looking for new trustees.
The organisation is entering an exciting and challenging period of growth and has ambitious plans for the future. Penrhys Partnership is a registered charity operated as a company limited by guarantee. The Board of directors of the company are also trustees of the charity.
To help Penrhys Partnership grow, they need experienced people to join the Board. They need people who can help direct the organisation towards achieving its mission and ensure that it is managed effectively.
You will need to be able to make a commitment to the organisation and devote the necessary time; have strategic vision; independent judgement; an ability to think creatively and a willingness to speak your mind. They are particularly keen to recruit members of the local business community who have one or more of the following skills:
- Leadership and implementing strategy ideally gained in the third sector
- Business and commercial skills and experience of relationships at Board level
- Local community involvement in Penrhys and the wider Rhondda area
- Experience in community development and regeneration
- Expertise in HR, Law, Marketing or Accountancy
Board meetings are held every 2 months and the Board is responsible for setting the strategy and policies of the Penrhys Partnership and guides and supports its management team. Sub-committees occasionally meet between Board meetings.
These positions are unremunerated.
