Social Enterprises working with multiply excluded people
Date: 31.03.2011
I'm currently researching social enterprises that are working with adults with multiple needs - homelessness, addiction, offending and mental health. I'm keen to hear from anyone working in this field, or of any social enterprises you know of helping this 'hard to reach' group. You can reach me on .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Many thanks!
I started my first social enterprise at the age of 21, helping homeless people off the street and into work. 13 years on Aspire is still working as a social enterprise in 8 cities across the UK, but we have had some spectacular failures alongside the success.
I'm currently a Clore Social Fellow, researching the role that social enterprises can play in helping the most excluded people in the UK, and also the limitations they face.
I'd be very grateful to hear from anyone who has something to contribute to this topic, particularly examples of social enterprises working with adults with multiple needs - homelessness, addiction, offending and mental health.
Please do get in touch by email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
Many thanks!
