Trigonos retreat & conference centre
Date: 12.11.2010
Trigonos, set in Snowdonia National Park, functions as a small hotel/guest house, conference centre, retreat, venue for an away day, or the setting for a mind-expanding course.

The centre offers stunning surroundings and grows its own natural food in two acres of land. The on-site restaurant then serves home-cooked meals using the food and some goes to local people too.
There is space for up to 30 people and prices per day for a meeting room start at £60. Accommodation is from £34 per night (for children), but discounts are sometimes available for third sector organisations.
The company began life in 1996 and employs three full time and 12 part time staff, as well as regular volunteers. Its turnover is just under £250,000 a year.

Twelve years ago, Community Housing Cymru set up an Award scheme to recognise housing innovation in memory of a special person - Pat Chown. Pat gave a big part of her life to helping others and spent much of her working life in helping to meet people's housing needs in Wales.
Gwynedd-based horticulture, catering and joinery social enterprise tells us what makes the business a success, and about its plans to grow the organisation further.
